The capital for the project will be sourced from the province’s budget.

Bien Hoa expected to complete the project in December this year.

Under the project, two 320-meter-long concrete culverts will be installed along two sides of Dong Khoi Street.

The city will also construct drains with a diameter of 1.5 meters and a length of 210 meters to lead wastewater from the street to San Mau Stream.

The project also includes the installment of manholes along Dong Khoi Street and alleys.

A Dong Khoi Street section from the Dong Khoi Bridge to the Trang Dai Intersection is one of the flooding hotspots in Bien Hoa.

Floods hinder locals’ travel and business activities of households along the street.

The People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province had earlier assigned Bien Hoa City to conduct an anti-flooding project in the Dong Khoi Bridge area.

In addition, the provincial Department of Transport has coordinated with a consulting unit to study a wastewater drainage system project on DT768 Street, including the Dong Khoi Bridge area.

The People’s Committees of Bien Hoa City and Vinh Cuu District will conduct the drainage system project.
