The players of the Vietnam Women's Football Team are completely different on the magazine cover, ready to face the world's top teams

Three Vietnamese women footballers showed different sides of themselves on the cover of the June issue of local fashion magazine Dep.

Vietnam women's team captain Huynh Nhu, forward Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha and defender Hoang Thi Loan appeared on the cover with the headline: "Wonder Women."

The photos showed the three in fashionable outfits, but still wearing football socks and boots. Nhu was wearing her iconic game headband.

In the issue, each player told their own story of how they became who they are and how as a team they went on to not only win the SEA Games gold but also qualify for the World Cup, a feat that had long been but a dream in Vietnam.

"Their achievements are a clear testament to a fact that no dream is unrealistic, but to make your dreams come true, you have to take action," Dep (Beautiful) wrote.

Nhu, 31, is the most prolific scorer on the women’s national team with 64 goals. She has won a record five Vietnamese Golden Balls and is currently playing for Portuguese club Lank FC.

Loan, 28, is a key defender for the national team.

Nha, 21, is one of the most promising young talents in Vietnamese women’s football. She made headlines after scoring a beauty against Germany in an exhibition match last week.

The 2023 Women’s World Cup will take place from July 20 to August 20.

Vietnam are in group E with defending champions the U.S., the Netherlands and Portugal.
