The airport security at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City reported the incident at 9:28 pm on the day.

As per the report, the A320 aircraft operating as flight BL 6068 was initially planned to depart for Da Nang City at 6:20 pm on that day, with a total of 185 passengers on board.

As a result of the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) malfunction, which supplies power to the aircraft’s air conditioning system while parked, the A320 aircraft experienced a lack of cold air circulation.

Despite the crew successfully boarding 185 passengers, the absence of sufficient cooling equipment led to uncomfortably high temperatures inside the plane.

Consequently, 44 of the passengers found the conditions unbearable and opted to disembark onto the apron area.

In order to maintain order, the apron security, in collaboration with Pacific Airlines, arranged a shuttle bus for the aforementioned passengers.

The remaining passengers consented to proceed with their travel plan, resulting in flight BL 6068 departing for Da Nang at 11:00 pm on Thursday, after a delay of four hours and 30 minutes from the original schedule.

Pacific Airlines made arrangements for 38 of the 44 passengers who declined to board flight BL 6068 to be accommodated on the subsequent flight BL 6070 bound for Da Nang.

As for the remaining six passengers, they were transferred to a Vietnam Airlines flight scheduled for Friday morning to reach the central Vietnamese city.

Relevant authorities on duty at the time documented the incident for future reference and requested Pacific Airlines to provide their own report, detailing the cause of the aforementioned flight incident, to the Southern Airport Authority and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in compliance with regulations.
